Blog War Day 9: Who is Carl Robanske?

This is the first of a series of new features invented just for this blog war! I’m finding interesting people in Walla Walla doing things that fascinate.

The first episode is with Carl Robanske. Carl started an organization called Embracing Orphans. The organization was started as a way to improve the quality of orphanages. Passionate people have a way of making you want to be interested in what their passion is. Carl is like that, what he does is what he loves and it shows. Carl is also a teacher at Garrison Middle School and up until this point has funded all of his trips to orphanages.

He’s also getting the community involved. His recent trip at the end of March he took 45 students from Walla Walla Valley Academy. Thanks for watching this new feature called: Who is Walla Walla?

This toy and the songs it sings are educational and ANNOYING. Well not to my daughter. It’s like crack to her.

This was very touching. Carl gives with a spirit of optimism in face of what would be insurmountable.

“You get one chance… you get one chance to do what you’re supposed to do.”

    Powerful comment.
