The big chill
Happy weekend everyone, and enjoy the snow! For most area school districts, this upcoming week marks the last week of classes before the Christmas holiday. But if the weather keeps up the way it has this morning, with a snow storm that appears to just be getting stronger, then there is a good chance classes might be affected.
Walla Walla got a lot of snow last year, and school start times were pushed back on several days. Walla Walla Public Schools promises to make phone calls by 6 a.m. on school days when the weather may affect school attendance. Most districts, including College Place and Milton-Freewater, now also post updated information on their Web sites.
People can also turn to local radio and television stations for the latest on school district closures.
