We’re in good hands in WW

McCain speech

Hopefully people on both sides of the political spectrum will accept the challenge put forth by McCain to work together in the future.  His concession speech is proof that we can act like rational adults when we debate the issues that face our country.

It was the volunteers, they feel

Democrats in WW are giving credit to the numerous volunteers who turned out to to make the calls and canvass the neighborhoods. “There was a lot of enthusiam,” said Norm Osterman. “We sold truckloads of signs, t-shirts and buttons. There was a real pleasant spirit to the headquarters.”

This election isn’t likely to make this red county turn blue, he concedes. “But it sure feels good.”

This room can’t contain it all

Norm Osterman stands outside, unmindful of the chill. He’s never been better, he assures me. As part of a nation that will now come under an Obama presidency, Walla Walla will be as the rest of the country…a decent place to live in again, he believes.

“The Bush administration wrecked the country, financially, emotionally and spiritually and drug the rest of the world into it.”

Osterman is pleased that he will be living in what he says will be a different world.
